Transition Images Pictures that change from 100 years ago to the same postion now

East Gate
This is the full view from East Gate looking up East Street towards the Market Cross. The first thing that is abundantly clear is that this picture was taken after the 1st World War and has the Epitaph in the view and in the present day picture this is no longer there, don't panic we are not bastards we moved it to a new location where it has a park all to itself, until I saw this picture I never knew it had been moved. The second thing that is clear is how many bloody road signs there are now.
Photographers Note.
This shot is quite possibly the best one that I took with regard to positioning. I think it is nigh on perfect and would take real nit picking to get any closer to the spot. Since this picture was taken the outline of the sky has changed again as Shiphams has been demolished and being rebuilt as a shopping precinct and houses. The view would not be significantly different as most of the outer shell has had to stay original, but I know it has changed.
Please feel free to leave comments or locations that you would like a before an after shot taken of, I'll see what I can do.
